This arrived two days ago on GNOME Builder 3.22.3 release! This is amazingly cool, and you don't even need to have GNOME installed! You just install GNOME SDK runtime with Flatpak in any Linux in any desktop, and then you install GNOME Builder, and then you create your app, and then you upload it to Flatpak Store (that doesn't exist ..yet!) and then everyone can get it and update it, without needing any dependencies than the GNOME Flatpak runtime! Gnome Builder For Vala & GTK Apps on ElementaryOS Linux
Gnome Builder is a Linux IDE that helps you write awesome applications GTK applications for ElementaryOS and other GTK distros. Gnome Builder is a relatively new IDE for Gnome that sort of replaces the previous defacto IDE, Anjuta. Gnome Builder still has some growing and maturing to do but overall it is a decent and stable little IDE. Since ElementaryOS' desktop environment is Pantheon which is based entirely on GTK+ and Vala, Gnome Builder fits right in, looking like a native Elementary app, and enables developers to write great GTK applications. ⬇︎Social Links ⬇︎ ✔︎ Discord: https://discord.gg/tVyBHAU ✔︎ Website: http://www.egee.io ✔︎ Twitter: https://twitter.com/egee_irl ---- 👍 Support The Channel By Clicking The Links Below! 👍 ✔︎ Motherboard: MSI A88XM: http://amzn.to/29OQeP6 ✔︎ CPU: A10-7850k: http://amzn.to/29rmTtB ✔︎ GPU: R7 360: http://amzn.to/29tLj4A ✔︎ RAM: Kingston HyperX 8gb: http://amzn.to/29SiRHP ✔︎ SSD: Samsung 850 EVO: http://amzn.to/29BABbA ✔︎ HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200rpm: http://amzn.to/29SjfpI ✔︎ Input: Steam Controller: http://amzn.to/29ufZmo ✔︎ Capture Device: Elgato Game Capture HD60: http://amzn.to/2aiPxup

Let's Linux #026: uniform look GTK and QT
The files used in this video can be found on github: https://github.com/budRich/letslinux/tree/master/022-027-mondo-setup This is the fifth video in a series on how to setup and use my theme manager, **mondo**. I use `qt5ct` to manage some of the appearances of QT. https://sourceforge.net/projects/qt5ct/ And export the following environment variables *(i export them from `.xinitrc`, but you can export them in other files as well..)*: ``` shell export QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=qt5ct export GTK2_RC_FILES="$HOME/.gtkrc-2.0" ``` You should also make sure that these lines exist in `~/.config/Trolltech.conf` : ``` [Qt] style=GTK+ ``` Some Qt applications gets updated on the fly, `qbittorrent` for instance. Others needs a restart (`calibre`), and some needs more advanced custom generators (`kdenlive`, `krita`). --- * * * **mondos** settings are stored in a directory called MONDO_DIR in the documentation (`mondo -h`). By default this directory is: `~/.config/mondo` but it can be changed with the environment variable. MONDO_DIR will get created if it doesn't exist when you execute `mondo -n THEME` *(create a new theme)* the first time.
